Just ordered the following Y500 for just $799 CDN :D

    3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor( 2.40GHz 6MB)
    Windows 8 64
    NVIDIA GeForce GT650M 2GB
    8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
15.6" FHD LED Glare Wedge 1920x1080
    1TB 5400RPM+16GB SSD
    DVD Recordable (Dual Layer)
    6 Cell Li-Polymer
    Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230
    Bluetooth Version 4.0

I wasn't planning on getting the 16gb ssd but with the redflagdeals coupon it ended up about $50 CHEAPER than without the ssd.
My question is what can I do with it? From a quick google search it seems it works as some kind of cache. Do I need any software to get it running and will it also work in Win 7 if I decide to go back? Thanks for your help!

Hmm how did you get it for such a cheap price? I only see the 1366x768 version of the y500 at $799 with the coupon.

I used the coupon code CAPRFDY50020130124 (from redflagdeals) instead of the regular lenovo coupon. Brought the price down from $899 to $799.
