    Plan on adding more memory (4GB total is what I want) and will switch out the HDD. I'm leaning towards a SSD but I'm going to hold off for a few months and use the 80GB until the price starts coming down on them. Overall, I'm satisfied and just want it to last longer than my gateway did..

    if you go to 4gb does that mean you will have to buy a new copy of Vista64?

    There is no requirement that you have to use a 64 bit OS if you have 4+ GB of ram(as a 32 bit OS would work fine), but you would have to if you want to utilize all your ram.
