    So I took advantage of the sale on lenovo canada to pull the trigger on this computer for my dad:
    t400.jpg

    LED, 2ram(1dimm), basic processor, 250gig hdd.
    1391$ all included.

    How'd I do?

    Why does it have to be competitive? If you like your machine and are happy with what you paid, who cares what someone else thinks?

    I managed to get basically that, with discrete graphics, fingerprint reader, camera, bluetooth, intel 5100 wireless, 3GB ram, 160gb 7200rpm HD, for $1385 including tax. But I didn't purchase the extended warranty. Oh and I live in Canada too. I'd say you did pretty well considering you got an extra warranty.

    That's not too shabby of a setup and considering that you got the extra warranty, I'd say you did great.
