I just go my new T520. After the comments I'd seen on grainy display and somebody had stuck pixels, etc. I was apprehensive. I'm happy to say that I think the display is great. I got 1600x900 and that seems perfect for this screen size to me. But if I had gotten FHD (which I considered) my eyes would have had a problem reading. Display is much brighter than my old pc. The keyboard is great. I'm also glad I didn't go for the T420 which I considered, this screen size is just right for me. So far I'm thrilled.

I do have a stupid stupid question though. I can't seem to get a dvd to go in the dvd/cd multireader drive. The hole in the dvd seems to be smaller than the round piece in the center of the drive so it won't sit down in there. I know it sounds crazy. I even looked at my home dvd player but it's designed different as is the drive on my old desktop.

Can't help you much with your DVD problem. I can only say that I have not had a problem loading DVDs into my T520. Just a slight press, and the disc clicks right onto the spindle.

Is this your first laptop? Desktop drives have a tray that you just set the CD/DVD into. Laptop drives have a spindle that you need to press the optical drive onto and it snaps into place. And you'll need to give it an angled pull to get it back off the spindle when you eject it.

Thank you again Gorgonesh (you seem to have the answers to my problems). Yes it is my first laptop and I was expecting to just slip it in. I did as you said and it worked fine. Duh! Thanks for your patience folks.
