This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Just received my T420, now clean install!

    Thanks Hearst!!! By the way, your win7clean install was very helpfull, only thing is that after i used the " update driver" on device manager and browsed the specific folder on which i had the drivers and it didn' t worked, so i had to install " manually" the LAN drivers (double click on the file!) and then lenovo system update did the rest.
    Now if it's not much to ask, any help on installing a dual boot (ubuntu + win7) on a t420, i' am confused because i' ve been told that i can' t have more than 3 primary partitions on a hdd and i already have 3 (lenovo recovery, win7 and system_drv), thanks!!
