my company gives us a new Thinkpad every 3 year (they lease it from IBM/Lenovo). This year, they are giving us T60's and already people are having problems. It seems that after 2 months of usage, some T60's just die. They don't know what causes the problem but what concerns me is that it's a 'KNOWN ISSUE'.

It does not seem to be a harddrive issue, as the drives work fine in loaner laptops.

I'm concerned about this, as I have just purchased a T61 (it's on it's way, due to arrive around 11/15 or so)

Are there tests I can do to make sure my system is running at top notch?

Any of you guys know about T60 problems and what causes them? It seems that we may have just had a batch of bad motherboards, but I am not an expert on this.

    Thanks,
    VK
