Anyone use anything like this? Are they worthwhile?

I work in a machine shop and a vehicle bay. I often has dirty hands. I was thinking something like this would be good for keeping my keyboard clean.

But can you still use the pointing stick?

It should work if it fits the layout. You can always cut out a small circle for the TrackPoint.

Yeah, I am hoping I can find someone who has tried this exact product.

I'll move this thread to Accessories for you. You should receive more responses there.

I'm currently using one from kbprotector.com, they have pretty much all the ThinkPad models and the fitting is very good. They're based and made in Taiwan, it has better quality than the others on eBay. The same owner from kbprotector.com used to post listings on eBay for better deals than his site, but he hasn't posted anything new yet on eBay since July, you can still try to contact him on eBay though. But like I said, they're the same person. As for the pointing stick, it is not covered, you will have no problem using it. Also, don't worry about the transparency description on the site, true it's less transparent than polyurethane ones, but the transparency is still very high, I can clearly see all the letters/signs of each key, including the darker orange ones. They even molded that little tip on the [J] and [allow] keys.

Thanks! I will probably pick one up from kbprotector!
