Just thought I'd share my recent warranty issue and the resolution with Lenovo.
On Wednesday the Ultrabay battery in my T61p died. No advance warning, it just failed while I was using the laptop unplugged. I called Lenovo Customer Service and initiated a warranty claim (as the battery was less than one year old by a couple of days). I spoke with Katie McDaniels and she was very pleasant and helpful. Less than 14 hours from my finishing my phone call with Katie I had the new battery in my hands.

just a little bit of logic... What brand of computer are you likely going to replace your Lenovo with? (hint: it's not a Dell).

When a claim is having an item shipped to you, lenovo is pretty good. The nightmares are usually when people send in their machine

Did they send a box/bag to ship your dead battery back to them?
