    Hi!

I have a SL500, with the LCD from LG. The screen is really good to see. The problem i have is, there is some gap (a mm or so) between the black frame that holds the LCD, and the LCD itself (only on the left & right sides of the LCD).

With the gap, if I look from extreme left or right side of the screen, only then i can see some light (the backlight of LCD) comming out of that gap. But looking at the LCD from the front, its not detectable. Its not that classical leaking light problem, if I could close/plug the gap between the LCD and the frame, then the problem I guess would be solved.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem as mine, and if so, how did u resolve it?

    Thanks for your time.

I would contact the company you got it from and stress that it has been badly manufactured and since its only a few days old arrange to get a full replacement. Or you could go direct to IBM http://www.ibm.com/support/uk/en/
