Under Lenovo's part look up page, what part number do I need to enter to find out my LCD brand?

ahh the laptop has not arrived yet. Is there a way to find out before it does arrive?

I don't know exactly about your notebook but for the Clevo M570TU based notebooks there are people who have a AU Optronics panel like myself and others have an LG panel. I think that Lenovo creates their own LCD panels.

Not true. Lenovo uses Samsung or LG-Philips LCDs.

Hi dakor, when you receive your laptop, can you post the year the LCD was manufactured? There have been reports that Lenovo is using LCDs from 2005 (probably leftover inventory) and I'm curious if they are outfitting T500s with these panels. I'm thinking about a T500 with a similar LCD to yours but the 2005 manufacture date scares me a little. Am I just paranoid or are there potential degradation problems with old panels?

Monitor Asset Manager ( http://www.entechtaiwan.com/util/moninfo.shtm) gives you a whole lot of LCD information too. But you'll have to wait until the T500 arrives.

Thanks for the info! It looks like you have a Samsung panel. That's great news that it's from 2007. How does the LCD look?

Congrats on the laptop by the way
