I've been looking at screen sizes/resolutions for ThinkPads, and, to help assess the different options, I made up a diagram of the relative physical sizes of all the different screens that are/will be available for the R61/T61 models and the X61 notebooks.

There's another comparison that I've seen links to, showing relative screen sizes at different PPI, but I was more interested in the actual physical sizes of the screens, given that text can be made the same point size, regardless of the display resolution.

In case it might be helpful to other people, here's the diagram, which includes some notes on the dimensions, resolutions, areas, and the PPI for the various resolutions.

The "rows" and "columns" are for a relative comparison of how much of a spreadsheet could be displayed on a given screen, with arbitrary cell sizes as described in the note at the bottom of the image.

(The 12.1W is included for comparison with some other brands).
