    Has anyone talked with a sales representative before about the T500 having LED backlit displays? Because on the comparison chart here, it clearly shows the T500 with backlit options.

    Or...is the website wrong?

    Does Lenovo plan to release backlit LED option later on, or what?

    I talked to one and he said that it will be available later on. He said there would be some new options available at the end of August, but he didn't know what those would be.

    I just talked with a Sales Rep today...they said they had no plans to put LED back lighting in the T500 as of now.

    Wouldn't be surprised if they add LED screens after a few months, or so... to annoy early buyers...

    There are a number of rumors about backordered at the screen manufacturer and perhaps end of August that others have heard from reps. I personally have no clue but will order in early Sept. if doesn't appear by then. I would like this new computer by mid October.

    i talked to a sales rep and they informed me the same that there are no plans for releasing the LED screen for the T500. and he also tried to explain to me that LED's would not sell because "they are not right for our consumer base"

    i hate sales reps...

    I talked to a sales rep and he told me sales reps know nothing and make up everything they tell you.

    Yeah, that sucks alot for all the T500 fans out there. I am so glad I needed a smaller laptop so I opted for the T400

    I'd give it a few weeks; orders are backed up the wazoo anyhow, it'd save the hassle of canceling your order later on + gives you a glimmer of hope

    I don't think there has been any official aswer to that question. In some other thread I read that a sales rep. had answered that the LED's will be available later, since they are on backorder from the supplier or something similar.
    I'm guessing, we're gonna have to wait or bomb all the Lenovo sales rep's til we have a 100% sure answer.
