    hello everybody!

    im a green horn here, i would just like to get help from our master and guru's here about my plan of upgrading my laptop. I have a Lenovo R60e laptop with the following specs:

    Actually, yes it can.

    Since it's from the Yonah family of chips, you can use a Core Duo/Core 2 Duo. Be sure to pick a Socket M processor, though, as current Core 2 Duo chips for the Santa Rosa platform use Socket P.

    Just FYI, a Celeron (of your kind) is in essence a Core Solo with half the cache and SpeedStep disabled.

    do i have to consider the chipset, TDP, voltage, FSB and the likes?

    i'm having trouble identifying the exact chipset of my laptop, i've used CPUZ, PC Wizard 2007, Intel Chipset ID Utility & Everest Home Edition they all resulted in different and confusing chipset ID's!!! can anyone tell me what ID Utility is the most precise?

    another thing, when i used PC Wizard 2007, it tells me that my celeron m410 is an Ultra Low Voltage but when i checked it out on Intel website, its the regular type, furthermore, the TDP shows 5.5W in the PC Wizard.
