let me know your thoughts about which one would be the better battery.

I have both 4-cell ones and the LGC is showing around 3 hours of operating while the Panasonic is showing about 2.5 hours ... However, all were drained completely so this is upon full recharge. Both good batteries, the LGC with some 112 cycles and the Panasonic one with some 30 or so cycles, both manufactured withing 3 months back in 2008.

same T61 laptops, though the one with the LGC uses Hitachi HDD which drains a bit more power than the Seagate installed in the other one.

Well I used both albeit on different systems and I don't have much issues with them to be honest. Sanyo's on the other hand are complete junk everytime I used them (they like to die prematurely) so I take either LGC or Panasonic quite gladly.

^ no, I have 3 other T61 laptops, all 14" wide models with intel GPU, all same specs :D Two came with Panasonic batteries, and one with LGC.

I had to recharge all batteries though as those were completely dead. On one I had to do the battery reset gauge twice (panasonic) as the first time it didn't show the battery as good but as fair, and I know it's good as the laptops were only slightly used and that specific one had only 26 cycles on the battery.

still both panasonic will show about 2.5 hours and the LGC one will show about 3 hours worth of power, but on that one I did the battery reset function overnight, so it was charging again more than the other two I guess, eventhough both others went to 100% charge again before unplugged.

all batteries show more power capabilities than their design - all more than 38.XX Watts, where as the design was 37.XX . But still I'm wondering whether or not that LGC one is actually slightly better than the Panasonic ones.

    - on the side note, in my beloved T61 (in my sig) I have 6-cell Sony battery that I bought recently (within 6 months) due to me not running power manager for 3.5 years on my old one, lol, thus it died much faster. The current one is doing OK.

a 4th laptop that I sent away with same specs as those 3 wide models that I have right now was having a 7-cell Sanyo that would show capacity of 44 Watts or something like that, almost same as one of those 4-cell batteries, lol. All slightly used over 3 years lifespan or so.

    quirky battery.

The battery time is all an estimate, so you should do a real run down tests. I haven't used many LGC batteries, but Panasonic battery usually give the best longevity (not necessarily the best battery time).
