    Am I missing something here?

Just purchased a Z60m for the little lady and while configuring it I noticed that there is insufficient volume. While the sound is fine for a laptop (very little bass as expected), there is simply not enough of it – particularly for a so-called multimedia laptop!

I have maxed out the volume controls in the icon on Taskbar, Sounds and Audio Devices icon in control panel, Windows Media Player and the controls on machine itself. Am I missing something???

The problem occurs when playing CD's and DVD's which is all I have tested to date.

    Thanks,

    RR

But it works fine when playing a file on the hard drive?

No, it is still far too soft even playing a file with Windows Media Player off of hard disk.
