I bought a new T42 in christmas and I didnt think the not having the XP cd would be a problem. But now I want to install VB .net and I'm missing a required file and it prompts me to insert my XP disc to install it. I went ahead and tried installing every . NET update but still is missing a required file. What am I suppose to do here? I can call the tech. but I would have to wait till I have free time. Thanks for your time.

I was told by a friend that the Windows XP installation should be "in the machine"?
