    Hi, I have a lenovo thinkpad T61.
I pulled out the keys on the keyboard and to blow the dust and particles that got stuck inside. When I reattached all the keys to the proper position - the laptop would not turn on. From reading online I understand that there is some power circuitry that is wired with the keyboard and thus I believe I have damaged that - my power and battery indicator show that my power adapter and battery are still working. I'm also past my warranty date - what should I do? I also wanted to try detaching and reattaching the keyboard but I'm having one hell of time with 2 screws on the back that won't come out - any tips on naughty screws?

buy a new keyboard off ebay, it might help if you were very comfortable to assemble your t61 when you took out the keyboard. I'm not sure if you broke some parts inside the motherboard or not.
This always happen for some people

Check the connection first before buying a new keyboard. Maybe the connection is just loose.

The power button is part of the keyboard, so if the keyboard's connection to your computer is broken the power button wouldn't be working. Anyone know if there is another way to turn the machine on besides using the power button?

^ I would also like to second that question.
I'm guessing my keyboard connection is lose - but I can't open my laptop due to some screws. Any ways to remedy really right screws - can't get 2/5 necessary ones to come out.

Which screws are stuck? When I replaced my keyboard, the ones on the bottom by the Vista license were a little difficult to get out. Sucks that you can't just remove the keyboard and check.
