    Hey guys,

Not sure if a new thread is the correct medium for putting this out, but our first real "REVIEW" of the T61p is hot and live.

    http://laptopmag.com/Review/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T61p.htm

It marked hella high on the review and was even tested in running F.E.A.R. at a stellar 79 FPS! (on optimum settings)

Take it for what it's worth. But this is definitely keeping my decision to wait it out a solid one.

I'm pretty sure they still do. The 15.4" T61 and 14.1" WS T61 I've played with have it.

the reviewer said that the laptop was smudge proof...am i missing something? He probably sat down with the laptop for 20 minutes using AIM and wrote the review. Its a good start though

Don't the t61's have a plastic lid which would not smudge like the T60s mag. lid (whatever it was called)?

I was actually speaking to another member of the forum about this privately. The t61's lid is much more smudge resistant compared to say a dell, but its definitely not smudge proof.

here are some visual aids...lol i know, i promise i'll clean it when i get home!

... and played F.E.A.R. on it. Can't forget that. Yah it's a business laptop, but this will be a complete desktop replacement for me... I gotta make sure it's got what it takes to run games of last year and ones from this year as well. I'm just looking for it to run Supreme Commander and SC2 at better then 'Low/Medium' settings and I'll be happy. :)

    It'll (T61p) probably start shipping once SC2 is out...in 2010.
