I just took apart my T410 earlier to disconnect the external speakers, and I noticed how small the fan/heatsink assembly is. Does anyone know by chance if Lenovo uses larger ones for core i7's, or are they all the same size for this model?
I ask, because although my fan/heatsink seems adequate, I want to go with more passive cooling if possible. :D

I noticed there was a little wiggle room for something a bit larger.

    Interesting, thanks. :)

Edit: Though looking at the pictures I can say the inner design is different from the T410. Still, that heatsink/fan assembly in the T510 looks tiny!
Maybe it's too much to hope for, but I was hoping with going some kind of passive cooling, with underclocking of course. :)
I'm keeping an eye on my temps, but with basic web browsing and the processor clocked at 1.2GHz the CPU isn't going above 51C, and that's with the fan off.
