I've only sent my T43 in once....for a bad LCD cable...

Warranty is coming up Aug 4th .
I'm sending it in as the left side *cooling fan* had been getting a bit hot for my comfort....

Anything else that plauged this series of laptops I should be aware of ?

Geez, I don't even know anyone that even has a T43 anymore. How old is it? About 3 years now?

The ThinkPad T4X is a very refined, tried-tested-and-true model belonging to IBM. There really aren't any outstanding issues with the model... you could tell them that the LCD bezel has been getting hot to get them to check the inverter and such. ;)

T43 old? I am typing this on my trusty T21! Granted it lacks the grunt and features of my T60 but the build of the old Thinkpads is hard to beat. Still a pleasure to use.

Yea, I just replaced my T23 in the last month. I think it was 7 years old. My X23 is still going strong. And we use T42's at work. Nothing like the reliability of the old thinkpads!

    Hell I still have a 600E! (and a T21, and a T60p :D)

T43 is an excellent machine, probably nothing to worry about.
