    Late 2008 Thinkpad W500 with cracked palm rest

    There's a small 2" crack on the left of my touchpad that seems to be getting bigger and bigger the more I move around the laptop, despite trying to handle it carefully.

    Does anyone know where I could get a replacement palm rest for this model? Everything else still running perfectly.

    eBay is a cheap and reliable way to get a replacement palmrest/touchpad part. The T500 and W500 palmrest/touchpad is interchangeable, all you need to do is determine whether you need one with a fingerprint reader cutout or not.
