I understand the Lenovo graphics driver for the Ati chipset in the T400 may be based on Catalyst 9.3 at the latest. While Ati itself is on Catalyst 10.6 for the 3470. My question is whether this driver is moddable?
And will it work with the Switchable Graphics driver? In June 09, this poster said Catalyst 9.4 would work Switchable Graphics without Power Manager installed. Is this the case for later version Catalyst drivers too (from Ati)?

Apparently Catalyst 10.3 from Ati brought promising improvement:

What happened with the final version and subsequent versions of Catalyst through 10.6? -
The current catalyst is at 10.7 and the documentation states that it's not compatible with switchable graphics.

edit: sorry I'm thinking about the T410. Ignore.
I don't believe the T400 supports switchable graphics anyways, even if the drivers do support it. -
typo?

You can get 10.7 and still have switchable graphics. If you have a 64 bit system try this: https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/674/9206..._64_dd_ccc.exe
Just have the ATI card running when you click it.
Warning:
I don't know if it works with your card and problems may happen. Works fine on my y460, just the screen goes blank while installing so you have to shut the computer down when it is done installing.
Install at your own risk
