Hi, I have a T61 ([email protected] GHz/2GB RAM/160 GB HD) and recently made the downgrade to XP Proffesional SP3. The problem is that after I installed the the video drivers for XP (Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family). The LCD blinks or go black each time XP starts up (before and after entering the password). I didn´t notice this when running Vista and don´t know is this could damage the LCD with time.

I got the drivers from LENOVO and read the XP video driver upgrade info and it stated that this behavior was improved. I have decided to diseable this video drivers and use the OS standard that doesn´t do this blinks.

Someone have experience this? What are the drawbacks of the XP standard video driver?

    Regards
