So I had this ice pack and somehow it was dripping on top of the laptop, i panicked and tried wiping it off with tissues but some of it got inside the touchpad, and i couldn't even press down the left click button, it was all mushy. I started to use a needle to get some gunk out. I'm guessing the liquid made whatever was down there more sticky. Anyways i got in further underneath with the needle and next thing i know the left click button on the top and bottom is dead. The tap click is dead is dead as well. The right click button works. Did the needle short circuit it?

Im using a mouse atm but i really don't want to use it. I need this problem fixed. Someone mentioned in the link below about disconnecting the trackpad. Would that work? Going to try disabling in the bios first. If not than i guess i have to replace the trackpad? The button is all squishy still too ;[

Been looking at ebay for touchpads but they don't even include the 2 top buttons which i use exclusively. what do i do?

wow it's working now........... i didn't even do anything. Guessing the liquid dried and that fixed it somehow because the squishiness is gone.
