This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Doesn't Lenovo use Seagate drive? Because it's never included in their firmware update.

    That's right, buy you can still ST drives on newer Thinkpads, no issues with the FW

    My T61 comes with a Seagate 7200.2 100GB. I guess Seagate does not provide the F/W update service unless its a really serious bug.
