Lenovo 1680x1050 Wallpaper location?

I know under swtools, inside the factory install for the T61, there's a folder called "wallpaper" which contains the four Lenovo 1600x1200 jpegs. When i still had the factory installed version of Vista installed, there were the same Lenovo wallpapers but in different resolution ranges. I'm looking for the 1680x1050 wallpapers. Does anyone know which files (file name and location) within the factory install where i can find the 1680x1050 resolution wallpapers?

Mine are in a hidden folder "WINDOWS" on PRELOAD(C . Didn't see any folder named wallpaper, but maybe ours are laid out differently.

I found it by searching "think americas map", then specified "search hidden folders".

 

I didn't get any widescreen wallpapers either. Only 5:4 ones.

 

Your t 61 didn't come with widescreen wallpapers?

Both widescreen thinkpads I had (z 60 & t 61) had 1680x1050 and 1440x900 wallpapers respectively.

 

Could you post them up as attachments?

 

I know for a fact that my notebook originally came from Lenovo with different Lenovo wallpapers of different resolutions, including the widescreen 1680x1050 wallpaper (lower resolution widescreen wallpapers as well).

Leon2245, are the Lenovo wallpapers you located under Windows the 1680x1050 wallpapers? Before doing a clean install, i made sure to backup the swtools folder. But i didnt give the Windows folder a second thought. I'm wondering if there's a way to extract the wallpapers from the recovery media?

 

No, i'm on a 15.0 now- when I get home this morning, see exactly where the widescreen ones are on my z. If you still can't find them, I'll email the ones you want.

You're not looking for all the cheesy "crystal, radiance" etc are you? Just the thinkpad specific versions?

You're right, wallpaper folder. My 16:10 and 4:3 thinkpads had them in different places.

These are a bunch of wallpapers from HP, Lenovo, and Sony. They do not include the Americas wallpaper, but are still very nice. RAR format. Different resolutions. Enjoy.

EDIT: Here are the ThinkAmericas wallpapers. The Lenovo wallpapers I have in the file above I like better though very designer-ish. Enjoy again.

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I was actually looking for the newer wallpapers that come with the T61, more specifically, the black/darker wallpaper entitled "Thinkdots" in 1680x1050.

 

This is the one i'm looking for (Thinkdots) but in 1680x1050.
