Has anyone ever used the 24hour next business day in house warranty support from Lenovo?

Nothing major wrong with my U300s... but my trackpad is and always has been uneven. The left side is lower than the right and it's difficult to click the left-click button.

It doesn't effect me really, I double-tap to click and almost never use the built left click.

I feel like the uneven-ness is getting worse though, I have the 2yr extended support with 24 next buiness day, anyone have any experience with that? Thanks.

(btw, I posted this in the owners thread, but it won't let me view the last page! ...46.html). I've tried muiltiple browsers, etc...)

24 hours support will only happen, if Lenovo technican have parts and there is waiting list for support from other users from the same region.

Even if you upgrade to the "next business day 24 hours" support?

I've used Dell's next business day support and they send a (contract) technician with the part almost always within 24 hours. Dell ships them the part and then they dispatch.

I'm hoping Lenovo operates in a similar fashion.

as long as the parts are available, the technician would usually come within 24 hour.

Still thinking about using the 24 hour support for my U300s trackpad... it works fine, but it's uneven, and the click pad just doesn't feel right.

I'd love to hear someone's experience with the Lenovo next business day support... they send a rep out to your house / office and do the fix with you watching?

I would be surprised if they work on the compact U300s on site. I'm going to do it, I just wanted some feedback first.

I've finally scheduled dispatch for Lenovo warranty service to fix my awkward touchpad (U300s)... It's been like this since I opened the box and I've just dealt with it, excited to get it fixed.

I started the thread to see how the service worked, no one had much info. So, I may be able to update and tell you all. I upgraded my warranty to Onsite Warranty and an additional year for $79 (great value). I finally called today and they are dispatching someone with parts for touchpad replacement to my address within 2-3 business days. I'll post an update as to the service. I'm sure it's contracted, but hell, I"m excited to see them open the U300s and not void my warranty. Maybe I can overnight the 8gb stick of ram!

Well, just had the palmrest / chassis replaced by the onsite support rep (met me at my office)... Awesome guy, took him about an hour to completely dismantle the U300s, replace the part and put it back together. Works like a dream though, the guy (contractor from Qualxserve) did great. I'm very happy with the service!
