    Hi all

I recently bought a lenovo 3000 C200. I was wondering if any had any of the problems below.

    1. you need to press the power button a number of times before it will
turn on. I have seen a comment about this in an old thread I was wondering
someone had a more recent info.

    2. My OS is Linux and I want to replace vista and was wondering if
anyone had any problem claiming warranty after installing linux.

    3. Are all the lenovo c200 media card reader spring loaded? because mine is not and you need to use your fingernails to remove the card.

    regards
    Fernan

    1. Power button was always an odd issue for me, but I think holding it down for a longer duration helped.

    2. They might not be as willing to provide tech support on software with linux, but hardware problems should/will be fully covered regardless of the OS.

    3. They are all spring loaded, yours may be broken. Have you tried other cards in the slot? Is the card being inserted correctly? (not upside down)

    thanks all

Well after a bit more I discovered that the card reader is spring loaded. It was just a bit hard so I was affraid of pressing any further. I am very stupid

For the power button, yes if you press for a certain period it will powerup and everything is fine. I am wondering if this warrants a visit to the service center. I thought it was a bios problem so I updated te bios to 3.11(1.08 ) from 1.06 not much difference. It only happens if you left it off for some
time. I am just affraid that after a few months of use it will not power anymore.
