Was looking at these two models, prices are the same, and both core duo!
    My priorities:

    1.Durability
2.Durability (I cant change it in less than 2-3 years)
    3.DVD playing/decoding and recoding/burning
    4.Less hang-ups

    Please advice!

well i just bought the 0768-4bg

    1.83GHz
    512ram, soon to be 2GB DDR2-667
    80hard S.5400
    intel 950 vga
    bluetooth, wireless, finger-print

and it is very very nice

while i hate sony cause they are usually very overpriced and from lots of reviews they don't offer any extra options or increase in performance that will deserve the higher price

as soon as i recieved my notebook i reformated it creating two partitions the C; == 20GB for windows and programsn and D: the rest for storage and media files

i used an XP home with SP2 , i downloaded from isohunt.com and used the serial form the back of the notebook, installed the prgs i only need and the notebook is really awesome

    very quite

i only hate the fact that there is only one button for enabling/disabling both of wireless and bluetooth together, i wished for two button one for each

Do you restrict yourself to only those two notebooks? If so, I'm inclined to say Sony just because I don't consider the N100 to be a good notebook but that's me. Otherwise, you can try filling out the FAQ.
