    Hi all,

First of all let me congratulate you on the wonderful forum that you have here!!

I recently bought the Lenovo 3000 n100 notebook(Core Solo/60GB/512MB). I have been quite happy with my notebook & want to upgrade the HDD & RAM. I have found the following options, would appreciate if you can advice with your experience with these products, I'm looking for a good & budget solution:-

    RAM
    1. Transcend JetRam 1GB: Generic: $76..99 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820208037)
    2. Kingston 1GB 200-Pin: Generic: $92.99 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134129)
    3. Kingston 1GB: For Lenovo: $132.99 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134071)

    HDD
    1. HITACHI Travelstar 7K100: 100GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150: $115.99 ( http://www.newegg.com/product/Product.asp?item=N82E16822146053)
    2. Seagate Momentus 7200.1 100GB 7200: $144.99 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822146226)

If you guys have tried some other (budget :) )RAM modules that have worked for you, please share the info!!!

    Cheers!!

I have heard nothing bad about Transcend memory, and it is advertised alot. Its a good price, and it should work with your notebook. For the hard disk, either will do. There are one of the best hard disks, in terms of performance, you can buy for notebooks at the moment. I would slect the Hitachi, as it is a little cheaper.

Thanks for letting me know, I will probably get the 667MHz stuff as 533MHz is only £3 cheaper normally and I dont think its worth it. I will add it to the Lenovo N100's already 512MB DDR2-667 already installed. ;)
