I had replaced the hard drive without plastic chassis ,it came loose and upon booting I pressed it in with my finger at which time the screen went black and now the power is non existent(even when I plug in charger there is no light) I AM aware of static and the do's and dont's involving the worst case scenario which I am now experiencing first hand.My question is simply ,can I salvage this machine or is it irreversible damage/reset button ? / internal fuse ? /ANY INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Did you try pulling the AC and battery, tapping the power button 10 times, then pressing and holding for 30 seconds?
