Seeing as how this model goes on sale constantly in stores and online i figure it has enough of a following (or people looking into perhaps buying one due to the very low price point) it deserves a post. Feel free to share your thoughts/Concerns/Questions on the model here along with any other info relevant to the topic. Feel free to just check in as an owner of the machine also..Curious how many people whom visit the forums bought one of these.

Average Price point of the machine is 299-349$ Making it a STEAL for light gaming and general usage.

My own Short review of the laptop

List of Playable games and settings used (20+ FPS)

Farcry 2 :playable in native resolution all LOW settings 20-30 FPS (except in huge fire fights) in bigger fire fights lowered resolution is required to maintain 20+ FPS.

Fear 2 : Native resolution all other settings to low Results in 25 FPS in most situations.

Diablo 3 : All lowest possible settings and Resolution set to 1024x600 20-25 FPS with Frame rate Dips into the 10-15 in Large scale battles which can be difficult but possible to manage.

Starcraft 2: All lowest settings Native resolution 30+ FPS unless you are in a heated battle then it drops anywhere from 20-30 FPS but still easily playable just not ideal in thick battles

List of VERY playable games and settings used (30+ FPS)

Torchlight: Native resolution max on All Settings even shadows 30+ FPS

Bastion: Native resolution Vsync on 2X game is 100% perfectly playable.

Burnout Revenge Ultimate box:Native resolution All settings to low in nearly all situations is 30+FPS

Terraria: Max settings possible FPS off the charts in all situations.

World of warcraft: Native resolution All low settings 30-40FPS in heavy Battleground Fighting,40+ FPS in 5 man instances

left 4 dead 2 :Native resolution Medium settings across the board 30+ FPS

Portal 2: native resolution Medium with Some high settings 30+ FPS

The Witcher Enhanced edition: Native resolution Medium with some High 30+ FPS

List of UNplayable games at Any settings

Dead Island Lowest settings available 800X600 5-12 FPS(With Dead island helper and game booster the game becomes SEMI playable at 1024 by 768 at around 10-15 FPS)

SWTOR (The MMO) 10-15 FPS outdoors on lowest possible settings and 2-3 FPS in Warzones = 100% unplayable, not that this was a shocker Badly optimized game + low end hardware..=yikes

Alan Wake: LOL...don't even bother attempting.

Feel free to add your own gaming experiences and i will update the list for this model.

User Problems/Fixes with the Model :

Problem #1 Random Freezing at ""please wait"" part of windows boot. Fix: Remove Variface software

FAQ's On model : None so far on thread

Desktop equal to this notebooks card from Scoring/FPS tests i would rate it somewhere in between a 6600-6800 Nvidia/ATI X1600-X1650 desktop card. I use that as a benchmark as most of the games i have played list that as a minimum requirement and play decent to above what i would expect on minimum specifications therefore it is not scientific testing.
