Really? interesting, you have to understand the way businesses work. they know you'll but it immediately, so they hold back the best for later. why? dunno, but it is a dirty trick

the t61p they put on the website use different screens WSXGA+ instead of WUXGA, hence they can ship those t61p's out since they have the parts already.

for the price difference, i'm not sure if you can do anything about that unless it's greater than $140 which is what it costs to upgrade from WSXGA+ to WUXGA.

I think the price difference is from the labor day sale. cancel and reorder with the sale if you want to save a few hundred.

I went from a build with [wuxga & vista basic] to a build with [wsxga+ & vista ultimate]

My order total went from 2250 shipped to 2020 shipped...

It's really a matter of whether you like/prefer the WSXGA+ over the WUXGA. I'm impartial really... so I just ordered both, and just cancel the one that doesn't ship first. Does the T61p with WSXGA+ come with WUSB? I don't really care. Sure the potential is nice to have, but it's long term, and ultimately not practical for my needs right now. Considering Lenovo's fickle nature, my original July order could ship before my August 29th one... but either configuration has it's pluses over each other. As for you fusion, if you haven't escalated your order to a Supervisor or Resolutions Officer, you should do so before you make any cancellation or change to your order. And if you can financially afford it, just buy the other model like I did, and take your pick. :)

print out the discount, and get it honored after it ships. you have 21 days from ship date.
