I bought a Thinkpad through the CPP system and was charged $10 for shipping instead of receiving free shipping as advertised. Now I ordered a mouse from them and the same thing happened.

I was willing to let it go the first time around but I will have to call them now to straighten this out.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

yes, i paid the extra $21 for ups 2 day. however, it is still much cheaper and since mine will be delivered today, 3 business day after the item was shipped, I am going to ask for a refund for that extra $21 =D

Don't pay for the "better" shipping. It gets to you fast regardless assuming there is no customs issues. And yes I had a $10 charge. Just call and they will remove it (it will delay your order possibly though because it is an "order change").

What get's to me is not that they charge extra for expedited shipping but that they are slapping a shipping charge onto orders that are supposed to receive free shipping.

I just called them and after 20 minute wait time they are asking me to send them a screen shot showing free shipping and when I told them to look on the web site they hung up on me.

Not impressed with Lenovo's current customer service.

Sorry to hear that. If it is worth the $10, I'd call again. I had no issues when I asked about this. The rep saw the original order and noted that it should be changed. Does your email confirmation list the free shipping? You could just forward that.

I called them back and they straightened it out in the end.

The Bluetooth Thinkpad mouse is great by the way.
