So, if theres a representative on here please send me a PM to discuss this as lenovo's phone customer service is horrid.

On the site the estimated shipping time is approx. 6-7 business days, i believe when i bought it (9/11) shipping time was the 17th, not its the 28th, a saturday to mention, and im due to receive it october 14th. So now the whole process takes over a month to deliver.

Can someone explain this masssive delay to me? A month to deliver seems like ebay delivery times, amazon delivers faster.

Shipping to Canada takes about a week (6-8 calendar days in my experience), from the moment you get an email that the machine was sent from China.

How long it's going to take between the online order and actual assembly and sending is a huge variable. Lenovo's internal system accessible by sales reps on the phone (and thus the sales reps), as well public faces of the system, don't have the information and numbers they produce are fairly random. So may as well guess. Some say that calling and canceling causes a glitch in the matrix, and it speeds up sending. But it's all dark magic, and it has been for years :)

    Not for me lol

Fair enough a month seems excessive though, and their cs is unhelpful to tell me why but "because it is sir"

Occasionally you will get your notebook sooner than what Lenovo have stated initially, I remember when I ordered a customised ThinkPad X201 Tablet for my Uncle they gave me a "pessimistic" lead time of about 2 weeks where in fact they were able to build it from scratch in their factory in Shenzhen, China and ship it to my doorstep in just 5 days which was extremely impressive. I still yet to have beaten that record myself!

If it's the newer models (Haswell based) don’t expect it to be as quick in the earlier phases. But once production matures over and supply for components is in abundance then it is not unusual for Lenovo to be able to ship much earlier than expected.

Well, i doubt it i called them after my shipping time was pushed back to oct 8th and received on the 16th. Lenovo once again fails, never again will i buy from lenovo with their crappy customer support and ridiculous shipping times.

    Theres my rant for lenovo

Sorry to hear that, the guy I was in contact with for my TPT2 was pretty straightforward as to why it was delayed: they were optimistic with their estimates and there was a delay in production. Not what I wanted to hear, but at least I knew what was what. Try getting a hold of another cs rep. You could also try French cs if you know French well enough.

I'd bet delay in production, because once it ships, it's pretty quick.

If you didn't like your experience, speaking with your wallet is always a good way to go. You can write them as to why they lost future sales though, it may help others.

Haha thats true maybe i will.
Yea i tried a few times everytime the answer was along the line of the same . Production delay and etc.

I just feel they should be honest in their times pre order
