    Hi

I live in Quebec, Canada. I recently ordered a laptop from Lenovo Canada. It is being shipped by UPS and will arrive very soon. I just realized that they ship their laptops from China.
Although Lenovo is offering free shipping, I'm worried about UPS charging my custom/duty fees at my frontdoor.

Can anyone confirm whether or not UPS will charge extra fees when delivering in Canada? I have trouble finding this information...

    Thanks

Okay I hope so... where do you live by the way?

Most of my friends tell me that UPS charge extra when they ship stuff across borders. That's why I was worried.

UPS ships with UPS Worldwide Express which covers the fees.
I should be getting my X220 tomorrow!

You shouldn't pay any extra out of pocket fee. Essentially you paid Lenovo Canada for the full delivery to your door, and all the charges incurred from shipment of out of China is the problem of the company you bought the product from.

Occasionally it gets held up in Customs, but other than that, no issues.

There will be no extra customs or duties paid by you. Lenovo Canada asks to be billed as a third party in the shipping documentation for any transportation charges or duties/taxes.
