Hi guys, i was wondering if there was other websites that sells Thiinkpads besides Lenovo Canada ? i've heard bad reviews about their customer service and all. I'm mostly looking for either a X61 or X61s

    Thank You

I am not sure about X61s but I know you can get T61s off of CDW.ca. As for customer service, I found in my recent purchase experience that Lenovo's customer service in the sales department was superb. I have heard some negative things regarding their shipping and tech support, but no matter where you purchase a Lenovo, you are going to deal with their technical support for any issues you have. Good luck!

I bought my 15.4" T61 from Infonec.com, but I didn't buy it online. I bought it from their Markham bricks&mortar store.

Check out ShopBot.ca where you'll find the lowest prices on various products as well as links to the various retailers who are selling them.

    Regards,

There are alternatives to Lenovo Canada. But when I checked them out, I found I'd be paying substantially more. I therefore went with Lenovo Canada.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

You can't get the kind of savings that the lenovo Canada site (Via visaperks.ca) can offer compared to other retailers from what ive seen.

If you need the laptop right away Lenovo Canada just doesn't make sense however. They are still suffering from some major backlog caused from a faulty IT implementation for their ordering system back in November 2007. They have been weeding out bugs ever since.

I ordered my T61p not knowing this however, but from my experience so far their customer support is good. Just don't be afraid to give them a call and verify that the correct order is in process if you do go ahead with them.
