I purchased a Lenovo Ultraportable carrying case for my t61p 14.1 SXGA+, I am surprised by the poor build quality of this case. WHen zipping the zippers seems to split in the middle so things can fall out. There are loose threads galore etc. I am surprised that Lenovo's supplier is this bad.

Lenovo is pretty bad yeah.....from what I have experienced of their customer service, they are not here for the customer. They are just here to make a quick buck. The only reason I bought a Lenovo was b/c it was formerly made by IBM, and they did a good job. Lenovo is trash. Don't buy anything more than you need to from them.

Any link to the product? Anything made in China seem to be of low quality...

I think some of the carrying cases are made by Targus - which have a warranty. Did you choose one of those? If you did, you can probably contact them for a replacement.

    Hey Smoothoperator,
Yeah the "Lenovo-branded" carrying cases are absolutely shocking (eg. Lenovo Messenger Max). The case is flimsy and doesn't appear to be able to support the shocks and bumps very well. Might as well carry it in a plastic bag

The "Thinkpad-branded" carrying cases are much better. They are also available on the same webpage as the Lenovo cases. Try looking at these:
    Corporate Executive Leather Case
    ThinkPad Business Topload Case
    ThinkPad Deluxe Expander Case
    ThinkPad Executive Leather Case
    ThinkPad Nylon Case
    ThinkPad Premiere Leather Case
