For those of us who don't want to shuffle through several pages of threads, can someone outline what Lenovo discout deals there are and what their current status is.

I have heard about Meyer discount, EPP discount, Taylor discout, Visa discount, ect, ect, ect.

Can someone shed some light?

    read up.

Meyer discount is moot at this point, as it looks like these orders are getting cancelled.

TailorMade is through AMEX and is free, up to 10% discount.

    Edit: Visa 5% deal.

The Tailormade discount is from American Express. If you have an AMEX card, you can register it with their program, use that same card to make your purchase, and receive savings on your card statement. The savings will depend on how much you spend.

    Here to register:

The EPP Discount is a discount for knowing a Lenovo employee. While the general public is not supposed to have access with this, but somehow people have been using it. I haven't read through it, but there is a thread about the legalities of using this. I'm not sure how much savings you can get.

I can still access Shareholder Purchase Program (SPP) here

    The Passcode is still 536686

You can get an additional 3% off from e-coupons

EPP is only for employees and you need the employees name and ID to use it .... only way to do it is to get an employee to buy it for you.

Visa is actually a US deal, it's only 5% discount, with 15% discount on accessories. Can be located at www.visa.com

Tailormade - you can always have, just register your AMEX card (if you have one) and pay with it

Fatwallet - yes, you can combine it with spp. Start with FW, click on Lenovo, get to general Lenovo site. Now, search for "shareholder plan", go there and make your purchase. The small FW window must stay open all the time

Looks like ecoupon and fatwallet are mutually exclusive offers, please correct me if I'm wrong

Also note that by clicking on the "Solutions for...Education" link on Lenovo's website, and then clicking the "Students & Alumni" on the "Students" dropdown (the lower left-most of the four dropdowns), you can also utilize a 5% discount without a password or code of any kind (on the honor system).

For those who are even wary of using the shareholders purchase plan (which is generally regarded as safe anyways), this is a fine substitute (as a student, of course...).
