For those of us who don't want to shuffle through several pages of threads, can someone outline what Lenovo discout deals there are and what their current status is.
I have heard about Meyer discount, EPP discount, Taylor discout, Visa discount, ect, ect, ect.
Can someone shed some light?![]()
-
read up.
Meyer discount is moot at this point, as it looks like these orders are getting cancelled.
TailorMade is through AMEX and is free, up to 10% discount.
Edit: Visa 5% deal. -
The Tailormade discount is from American Express. If you have an AMEX card, you can register it with their program, use that same card to make your purchase, and receive savings on your card statement. The savings will depend on how much you spend.
Here to register:

The EPP Discount is a discount for knowing a Lenovo employee. While the general public is not supposed to have access with this, but somehow people have been using it. I haven't read through it, but there is a thread about the legalities of using this. I'm not sure how much savings you can get. -
I used visa discount in USA. it was about 5%.
There is also student and alumni.....about the same. -
Do we have ANY proof that Lenovo even canceled 1 Meyers deal...
I Don't Think So... -
mine still shows to be on order.....albeit with a 8/27 ship date....LOL
-
All I know is that I cannot access the Shareholders Program page.

BTW, NBR isnt the only forum that had this deal posted, so there are a number of LARGER places having these exact same discussions -
I can still access Shareholder Purchase Program (SPP) here
The Passcode is still 536686
You can get an additional 3% off from e-coupons
EPP is only for employees and you need the employees name and ID to use it .... only way to do it is to get an employee to buy it for you. -
actually anyone that is authorized by the "serial # and last name" owner to use the info, can make an EPP purchase.

It's totally different: no fixed %off, discount varies for different models -
if i use SPP + e coupon 3% cash back, can i still use fatwallet and tailormade? -
Fatwallet - yes, you can combine it with spp. Start with FW, click on Lenovo, get to general Lenovo site. Now, search for "shareholder plan", go there and make your purchase. The small FW window must stay open all the time
Looks like ecoupon and fatwallet are mutually exclusive offers, please correct me if I'm wrong -
ibmfan
i have a question , after we click on lenovo from Fatwallet website , how we should search for shareholder plan? -
after you get to Lenovo.com through Fatwallet, search in the upper right "Shareholder Purchase Program"
-
Also note that by clicking on the "Solutions for...Education" link on Lenovo's website, and then clicking the "Students & Alumni" on the "Students" dropdown (the lower left-most of the four dropdowns), you can also utilize a 5% discount without a password or code of any kind (on the honor system).
For those who are even wary of using the shareholders purchase plan (which is generally regarded as safe anyways), this is a fine substitute (as a student, of course...).
