Someone please enlighten me ‘cause I don’t get it. It is almost the year 2010 and Lenovo/IBM STILL requires the popup blocker to be disabled (not just bypassed) in order to simply download a driver.
Lenovo, why so obtuse?
-
because your popup blocker isn't good enough?
google chrome blocks popups but it doesn't block the lenovo download popups -
I block all popups indiscriminately.

Ain't nuttin wrong wit dat. Why the apprehension to system protection? Just configure your blocker to allow items from Lenovo/IBM.

Out of the hundreds of sites I use regularly, only Lenovo requires the popup blocker to be disabled for something as simple as downloading a file.

well you choose to use enterprise class hardware but expect to be able to download freely as if you are on AOL. the two don't mix quite frankly. -
if you aren't willing to add an exception for popups originating from ibm.com then just use TVSU and you won't have to worry about the website.

This is one of the most ridiculous things Ive heard. I purchased modern business-class hardwareand expect a modern business-class web site as well. I can download drivers for enterprise-class server hardware and business-class notebook hardware from the likes of Dell and HP without being subjected to a 1990s-style popup-laden web site.

This thread was a lifesaver. I was going a litle crazy trying to figure out why i couldnt download any drivers this morning. I had previously downloaded from lenovo without disabling popups. Then i realized (after reading this thread) that I had used chrome last time and now i was using IE. So thank you very much.
