    Steal of deal!

Hopefully this will meet your expectations as the T61 are great laptops. I'm still holding on to mine until the GPU lets go.

Good choice LaSpurs. The first job I had when I was 15 I saved all summer and purchased a $2300 top-of-the-line laptop. It lasted me several years but retained only a fifth of its value. I was coming from the exact same mindset when I purchased my E420 and am quite happy with my decision.

Also, you got a very good deal. I have an identical model except for the i5-2410M in mine and received it for 479 after tax in store. That is the cheapest I have personally seen it so you are definitely getting a good deal. Congratulations.

Thanks :D I was so gutted when I found out the T61p had died, and was so pissed off that Lenovo/Nvidia basically did nothing about it. After spending that amount of money on a laptop I expected it to last a little longer than 3.5 years..

I vowed never to spend that kind of money on one again, hence thinking this was such a great deal. Thing is I like the Lenovo's, I like using the little red button and not many other manufacturers have them on their laptops (my work HP does). I don't use my laptop for gaming (use my PS3 for that) so don't need a monstrous graphics cards to play games on.

If this one dies after 3.5 years I won't be quite as disappointed! :p :D
