Anyone get this. I know it was a problem in SB on puters. This is my freinds lappy and I tried all kinds of things.

I can get to bios so it posts, but it rests right after that.

    Thanks!

Do you have an OS installed on the main boot device? Also, do you have the main boot device set properly?

If it posts, I don't think it has to do with the CPU...

Did this happen all of a sudden? Or did he do a reformat? Or changed around partitions?

I had this problem just last week. Is this a restart loop? I found something off Seven forums about this issue and ended up doing some black magic in Command Prompt to get it out.

Went into safe mode and it was throwing a Code 39 for the PCI express controller. Rolled it back and updated it and it's working well. Also developed some problem which choked all networking. Turns out it was an old firewall that didn't uninstall properly.

If it POSTs but doesn't boot, could be something wrong with the drive or the motherboard if it isn't picking up boot devices. Ring up Lenovo support and get it sorted out.

Thanks, He's calling tech support. I checked everything was set right in the Bios. He had received it with win 7 64 home. It worked for two days and then just started the boot loop (well that's what he told me). I think he's being issued and RMA.

    Thanks guys!
