I have a friend who's friend works for IBM so I'm pretty sure that I could get the EPP, but I was just wondering what is the amount of % that I can count on saving? Also, does fatwallet work if I link to Lenovo through it, then search for EPP in the Lenovo website?

APP is around 8% when I tried a configuration, so I'd expect EPP to be around in that range.

It depends on the product. Generally around 15%. But the item cannot be returned or exchanged. Consider it final sale, unless it's dead on arrival.
