I purchased a 3 year extended Think pad protection and onsite priority warranty and my just received T520. The warranty evidently starts the day the laptop was invoiced, not the date I received it which was 8 days later.
It may seem like a small thing but I am not getting 8 days warranty that I paid for. With my luck the machine will break on the 6th day. I spoke to lenovo including a supervisor and they would not adjust the warranty dates.
Any feedback on this or am I just being very cheap! Any thought or ideas? I gave them a hypothetical of the machine taking 4 weeks to arrive. They said that you would lose 4 weeks of warranty. Sounds crazy to me.

Personally, I think you're being cheap.

Actually, in cases where (for some reason) the ship date is very delayed they will adjust the warranty accordingly. My X61s (one of the very last before the series was discontinued) was delayed due to supply issues with the UltraLight LCD panels. They adjusted my warranty to start on the ship date rather than the invoice date.
Eight days... well... to be honest I wouldn't bother. That's just me though.
