    Hello,

I opened up my Flex 4 ( https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/laptop...ries/Lenovo-ideapad-FLEX-4-1470/p/88IP8FX0685) to see if I could upgrade the ram, and now it won't turn on or even show the power status light when I plug it in.

The computer was not shut down but it was in sleep mode when I opened the back cover.
I closed it up the way I found it minus a small magnet (which I lost) when it popped loose and I don't know where it goes.

Anyone have any experience or ideas for this situation?
How critical is the magnet which I think may have been somewhere near the SSD to the laptop?
Could I have damaged the laptop by opening it in sleep mode?

It's generally not recommend to work on a laptop while it's on. Could that be the issue? Hard to say from here. Perhaps you can find a YouTube disassembly video to see if you put it back correctly. Even if you damaged the SSD, it should still POST without it.

Yeah, I screwed up and didn't check if it was off or just asleep.

I'm thinking I could've shorted something when I removed the annoying and pointless metal lid they use to cover the ram.
At this point there's not much I can do, I'm going to take it to a repair shop tomorrow and see what they say.
