    $950 seems high.

Hmmm I thought it looked like a nice alternative to a T410...the specs are just as nice but I'm guessing the build quality is not

If you can get the T410 for the same price and it's better built, wouldn't that be the way to go?

I would go for the Y460 (not the G460). It has a nicer graphics card.

From what I see on Lenovo's site..a T410 for $950 will only have 2GB RAM, not 4..and only have an Intel GPU...to get a similar spec T410 it looks to be around 1200..unless I'm missing something (hopefully)

Thanks for all the input guys

Don't go anywhere near the G460. I joined just to tell you people to not buy it. Don't take my word for it. Google the touchpad problems associated with this line. Sometimes, the pointer will either skip really fast to somewhere else, or it won't want to go anywhere at all. Adjusting the settings helps for some and not for others. It comes with two different drivers for the pad. Someone suggested uninstalling one and installing the other. I tried this and now, not only do I have the same problem, but I can't get through more than a few sentences without the pointer engaging and destroying my sentence. There is no way to disable the tap click with the other driver.

So, either way, you're screwed. I couldn't even make it through the last paragraph without accidentally clicking while typing and starting earlier in my sentence 4 times. Customer service is not fun for people either. I heard good things about Lenovo, so I was suprised, but apparently, I didn't google the right thing. So just google "lenovo touchpad problems" or "lenovo g460 touchpad problems" and you should find a number of examples. I hate this computer so much. I'm really angry.
