    Lenovo G555 uses DDR2. I didn't know it, I searched "crucial memory lenovo g555" and voilà!

    No, you cannot use DDR3 parts for the G555. Another seach "ddr2 ddr3 compatibility" returned: DDR3 is not backward compatible with DDR2.
