I know this is not directly a question about Lenovo laptops but it is about Lenovo and the drive will go in a Lenovo laptop ;)

I was looking at getting a 500GB 7200 RPM drive and on NewEgg finally they have a WD Black 500GB for $75 but you can also see a Lenovo ThinkPad 43N3423 500GB drive for $150.
I am guessing this is the official drive they normally put in the laptops from factory(though I replaced the drive in my W701 with an SSD and that was an actual Seagate  ).
I cannot seem to find a lot of info about them or reviews and I am trying to find out why they are so much more than standard drives (Samsungs are around same price as WD).
Is there any compelling reason I would choose these over the WD?

There's no reason to figure out why they're more expensive. Just get the WD and move on with your life. There's no practical difference between the drives.
