I am contemplating upgrading my Y530 to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. However, I don't see any windows 7 64 bit drivers on the lenovo y530 drivers page. Has anyone tried this and have experience doing it?

I moved to Win 7 Ultimate through upgrade and didn't have any problems. For some reason, my gaming and 3D score went down to 3.4 but the new nvidia driver just raised my Windows aero score to 3.9.

I assume you have Vista 64 bit right now.

the reason why your score probably went down is because Vista and 7 use a different rating scale.

but yeah, i have vista 64 and want to upgrade to windows 7 64 bit.

    Hi

I am getting a screen bleeding spot in the center but towards the left. I know it is a bleed, since it is brightest on a white background like MS Word, but becomes less prominent (but still there) on a darker background.

has anyone changed the screen on these laptops? TO me, the screen seems pasted on with no way of changing it? Some people have said that it is because of dust that bleeding happens, but I would again need to take the screen off.

I have tried pressing on the spot and from around the spot, but nothing happens. ANY HELP?

I had a 15.4" Lenovo IdeaPad Y530, it work very well but about a month ago the screen is broken. Then I want to buy a new one, and get it from Screenaid which web provide me the screen very fast and it works very well. :D

^ How do you install it? Isn't the screen basically pasted on the lid, or is there a back way to remove it?
