    hi guys,

    I am looking to buy a Lenovo/IBM IdeaPads Y460 or 560, but i have grown to be hesitated for a while in buying it. FYI, a speaker quality is very important to me, and I've heard that a new Y460&560 come with a powerful JBL speaker system. Because i am a huge fan for IBM since 90's for its superior solid built-in quality.. i have to make up my mind on this matter.

    Here is my tale..

    Actually, I was blind when i had purchased the asus bamboo U43JC-X1.. I must say that this machine was the worst shot i have ever made in my entire life. I was forced returning it to amazon rapidly at the same day i have received it. It comes with an inferior screen. Due to the fact that Windows gaves me a 3.1 out of 10 base score for "Desktop Performance for Windows Aero." which is not cool at all, and be warned that the speaker quality is so lousy either as a major point for me!. never buy asus again!

    Back to our topic, can someone who has experienced assures me regarding the JBL speaker for the Lenovo/IBM IdeaPads Y560.. how loud the speaker goes if it is comparing to the new HP Envy 17 with beats system as they advertising. what is the best laptop from both i've already posted regarding of bulit-in speaker and loud bass(required);
    Lenovo JBL speaker OR HP Envy 17 with Beats Audio?

    To be plain with you..im still leery!! kindly, if you were me,, whats your first choice?

    I look forward to hear from you guys..

    thank you in advance

    The JBL speakers are great. They can get quite loud without any distortion but bass does lack. Not terrible by any means but lows just aren't that great.

    Quote from this sites review:

    "The Ideapad Y460 has a leg up on competing 14-inch notebooks when it comes to onboard speakers. JBL and Lenovo teamed up to design the audio system on the Y460 and it easily ranks into the better than average category. It still doesn’t have the deep bass of a large notebook with a dedicated subwoofer, but the JBL drivers do a good job at high and midrange audio. Peak volume levels are good for a small to medium sized room, making it perfect for enjoying a movie in a dorm room or small office. Headphones for travel are still highly recommended and for home use we might suggest using the HDMI-out connection to pass a digital audio stream to a home theater system."

    I would see what people are saying about the Beats. I would have to imagine that the Beats would be better because it is a selling point of the computer, but don't quote me.
